Could not find RubyGem activesupport after RadRail upgrade
Hi, this topic might have been discussed but I can''t get over it. I had RadRails IDE installed in this machine working fine. I had to reinstall so I guess I got now a new version. Now I can''t create a Rails project correctly... This I get when creating a new project: c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:377:in `report_activate_error'': Could not find RubyGem activesupport (= 1.4.4) (Gem::LoadError) from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:309:in `activate'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:335:in `activate'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:334:in `each'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:334:in `activate'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:76:in `active_gem_with_options'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:50:in `gem'' from c:/ruby/bin/rails:15 And this when I try to start a server for an old project: "1992" c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:377:in `report_activate_error'': Could not find RubyGem activesupport (= 1.4.4) (Gem::LoadError) from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:309:in `activate'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:335:in `activate'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:334:in `each'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:334:in `activate'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:76:in `active_gem_with_options'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:50:in `gem'' from ./script/../config/boot.rb:23 from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:27:in `gem_original_require'' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:27:in `require'' from ./script/server:2 from -e:2:in `load'' from -e:2 I guess it has a simple solution. I would appreciate any help. Re: Could not find RubyGem activesupport after RadRail upgrade
From a shell prompt, try: gem install activesupport If you are still getting errors, you may be missing other dependencies. Try reinstalling rails with: gem install rails --include- dependencies On Dec 6, 1:57 pm, comopasta Gr <rails-mailing-l...-ARtvInVfO7ksV2N9l4h3zg@public.gmane.org> wrote:> Hi, > > this topic might have been discussed but I can''t get over it. > > I had RadRails IDE installed in this machine working fine. Re: Could not find RubyGem activesupport after RadRail upgrade
Thanks Matt! Yep, I ended up having to reinstall rails. I thought it would be a path issue. Now the servers start and apparently new projects can be created properly.
