I just installed mongrel using "gem install mongrel --include-dependencies", and it installed. However, the page load times are now reporting to take almost twice as long, according to the server logs. Any idea what could cause that? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Dave: Never seen that behavior before. They seem almost equal on my systems. Mongrel might be a slight bit slower, but it''s much more performant. Are you running in development mode or production mode? I guess that could obscure its advantages a bit, especially when just looking at the occasional request here or there. I''m not going to worry about it too much for the moment, I guess. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Yeah, I wouldn''t. But don''t rely on the logs too much for timings... grab a mac or a linux box and use httperf to test your sites. It''s more accurate. :) I spend a lot of time developing and deploying on Windows, so if you run into any other problems, let me know; I like to help.
