Rails - May 2007 - Passing a hash to a GET request

Hello, I''m trying to
link_to(''Edit'', :action => ''edit'', :topic
=> {:parent_id => topic.id})

But unfortunately, :topic => {:parent_id => topic.id} produces
''/edit?topic=parent_id2''

Is there a solution of have GET params organized like POST params (eg
params[:topic][:title])
