Rails - Apr 2007 - UMN Mapserver with my rails application

I''m planning to use Mapserver with my rails application (for some
traffic
management system). For that we need to develop a prototype for client
demo.
Googled extensively to get some How to or steps, but couldn''t find any
information for my purpose.

       This is my dev environment
                     1) RoR on Mongrel
                     2) Mapserver
                     3) MySQL with spatial capabilities
Any help in this is appreciated
