Hello there and happy holidays! I am currently looking for a project to work on free of charge. I am mainly wanting to pick up a project to have some experience with a team, and to learn as much as possible. I am an amateur ruby and rails programmer. I am doing my best to learn as quickly as possible, but the best way to learn in my opinion, is with other people and a group, with an objective set. If you believe you could use my ambitions and interest to compliment your project, please send me a message at daniel [at] danielfischer [dot] org. You could also contact me via AIM: Arachn1d Spyder Thank you, Daniel Fischer -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. You may also want to contact your local Ruby and Rails users group. If you don''t have one, then you can start one! They usually have a project that they work on as a team. Very helpful in getting up to speed with Rails. Good luck!> If you believe you could use my ambitions and interest to compliment > your project, please send me a message at daniel [at] danielfischer > [dot] org. > > You could also contact me via AIM: Arachn1d Spyder > > Thank you, > Daniel Fischer >--~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Daniel, > I am currently looking for a project to work on free of charge.. > and to learn as much as possible. I am an amateur ruby and rails Nothing like a real paying client to put you seriously on the Rails. My suggestion is to look for a local sport club, or an art center, or no-benefits associations and offer them to build a ''portal'' ( news + members + forums + photo album + ...) to get a web presence. I strongly advise you work for peanuts, rather than nothing. And with cheap hosters like DreamHost or RailsPlayground, you can even include 1 year of hosting in your bill.
