Yeah, well, it''s more of an alternative for Filemaker than it is for
Rails and it''s been around for quite some time now. It has a few
drawbacks:
1. License cost
2. It''s in Java, and it''s slow as hell on a Mac
3. It uses JavaScript for coding
On the other hand, it''s a great tool for RAD where you don''t
want to
waste precious time designing a killer interface. As I mentioned,
it''s great for people using Access or Filemaker and want to migrate
to a database independent backend and a very easy and familiar front
end.
