Rails - Jun 2006 - [OT] rimuhosting and VPS experiences wanted

I am considering signing up for hosting at rimuhosting for rails, PHP, 
and email, and would like to hear some personal experiences with their 
service, especially compared to shared hosting services like Dreamhost.

Top notch.  I have been very satisfied. It helps to have a little bit
of *nix knowledge, but they''ll also help you through it as well.

Ditto. The staff is top-knotch and doesn''t mind holding your hand from 
time to time. They''ve always been there to rescue me when I''ve
messed
something up.

I couldn''t imagine going back to a shared environment.

Textdrive = NIGHTMARE

Linode = Very good
Rimuhosting = Very good

Rimuhosting also has more current images available (like Fedora 5) than 
Linode has.

I''ll also mention that I''m both a linode and Rimuhosting
customer.
Linode is excellent too, but It''s no contest to choose a xen
environment like Rimu over Linode.  I''m slowly migrating off of linode
not because of the service but because you can''t beat the performance
of xen.

www.railsmachine.com offers VPS''s and they are tuned specifically for
Rails.
