Rails - May 2006 - shared hosting with Rails and SVN support

Hi,

Can someone recommend a good web hosting company with relatively
inexpensive, small shared host accounts with experienced Rails support
and allows SVN for Trac or Collaboa projects? (I''m not thinking of SVN
in SSH mode) I think I need to change hosting companies. They won''t
let me use SVN in any mode.

Textdrive offers every feature you could ever think of. I''m using them 
right now with mixed feelings - my app (www.miami-bid.com) appears to 
experience significant hiccups throughout normal use, and I''m not 
exactly sure why. I think there''s a chance that there are some people 
who are truly abusing the resources on my shared server, but I don''t 
know for certain.

Aside from the questionable uptime, I would recommend Textdrive.

I''ve had very good experience with Site5. The offer very affordable
shared hosting plan at $7.77 per month for 11 gig of space and 400 gig
of bandwidth and they include up to 5 separate domain accounts.
Currently I''m hosting two sites with them (www.zoobywooby.com) and
(www.loyalcommerce.com). They have in-house rails expertise and are
doing much of their internal development in ruby and rails.

The environments have been stable and they''ve been very responsive to
issues; they usually have an initial assessment within twenty minutes.
I had an issue when a disk crashed and they forgot to install a
reasonable version of rails (they only had 0.13 available), but this
was resolved rapidly once it was reported. No complaints...

So far the availability and app performance has been acceptable for a
shared hosting service. I would recommend them as a cheap solution
with many features (rails, svn, ets..). I haven''t tested them with
high traffic, but then again I haven''t had any complaints from people
visiting the site.
