I started two weeks ago with rails and im amazed of what can be done in a short time, i already finished the agile development with rails and some of the tutorials at the documentation section of the rubyonrails.com site. But i realize that many of the tutos and examples around the web and books are using earlier versions of rails (0.x.x) and some of that code and coding practices are deprecated now, more now that rails 1.1 is out. So my question is, where i can find actual info about rails, cause some of the apps that i create following the web tutos now have errors, and worst maybe are running without problems but not with the best way and using actual sintax and coding practices. I see that many of the people that are starting with rails feel the same way, hope someone give me a hand and point me in the right direction, cause i think im in love, php was just an affair. As you walk through existing tutorials, make notes about how and where they break and what to do instead. Then work on rewriting the parts to be fresh with 1.1 and help us improve. We need the input of newcomers to keep the welcome fresh. -- David Heinemeier Hansson http://www.loudthinking.com -- Broadcasting Brain http://www.basecamphq.com -- Online project management http://www.backpackit.com -- Personal information manager http://www.rubyonrails.com -- Web-application framework

You hit a snag, you ask here, one (or more!) of the core team will most likely answer your question. Then you can update the docs to match. - Matt -- I told [my daughter] that if I see her digging a hole that she might not be able to crawl out of, my job isn''t to stand back and say "That''s a *real* nice hole you''re digging there". -- Paul Tomblin, ASR
