[Rails] Local extension to rails default layout generation
Is it possible to create a local extension to the layout generator
in rails to add the following lines of code to all layouts when
they are created?
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<!-- app/views/layouts/<generated layout name here>.rhtml -->
I would like to accomplish this extension in such a fashion that it
survives future rails and ruby updates and is easily transportable
between systems. I suspect that a "plugin" is required, but my
knowledge of how rails works and of the ruby language in general is
at present too rudimentary to give any guidance as to where to
start.
Regards,
Jim
