Justin,
I would certainly be interested in working with your company on a
telecommuting basis.
My name is D''Andrew "Dave" Thompson. I live in Seattle and
have been
working in web development and consultation for small to medium
businesses for almost 6 years. I have worked with a number of
different types of businesses, most recently an insurance company,
McLeod Insurance, www.mcleodins.com.
I am well experience in XHTML, CSS1&2, JS/AJAX, J2EE, PHP, and most
recently Ruby on Rails, since 0.13. My background is in Linux/Unix.
Currently I am using Mac OS X, which is the platform I have used for
the development of all projects listed in this email. I typically use
Eclipse 3.1 w/ RadRails plugin (a carry over from my java days), but
am also comfortable using textmate.
Recently I have headed up an open source project which I will be
releasing next month called CampaignOS. Here is the project page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/campaignos
Our original design concept can be seen at
http://www.policorp.com/demo/. However, recently we have decided to
scale-down the user interface and general theme for our first release,
opting for simplicity over feature-set.
I am waiting to release the project. We are waiting for an XML RFC
from the Public Disclosure Commission of Washington State (which will
allow our product to file financial reports in real time with the
state governing board).
I am also sponsoring and the main developer for the rCalendar project.
This project will provide a Rails engine with a fully iCal compliant
calendering system. Feel free to review the project trac at
https://opensvn.csie.org/traccgi/rcalendar/trac.cgi/wiki
Thank you for your interest.
(PS - I would call you, but I''m finishing a contract out on a Navy
Base with no cell reception. I should be available via phone tomorrow.
For now email is fine.)
Dave
