Rails - Nov 2005 - application.js include stutter

Using Rails 0.14.3 and noticed something strange when I looked at my 
rendered source. The include line for application.js:

<script src="/javascripts/application.js" 
type="text/javascript"></script>

...appears no less than 40 times in succession in the head of the 
document. Can anyone else verify this?
