I put up a demo of a new open source webapp this evening and posted about it to a coupel of lists. I''m getting a bit of traffic to the application but not that much, and webrick keeps dying off. No error messages, no core dumps, nothing. The only thing I can think of is that I had it bound to 0.0.0.0 <http://0.0.0.0>. It''s been about 15 minutes since I changed it to a specific ip address and it hasn''t crashed yet, but I''m expecting it to any time now. Running in production versus development doesn''t seem to matter. This is with the latest rails release candidate on Freebsd 4.11, and rails installed in /vendor. How can I find out what''s causing webrick to die? Maybe I''ll stick it on linux tommorrow and see if it makes any difference. I''m sure webrick is capable of handling the traffic because it''s really not all that much.
