Rails - Oct 2005 - Problems with Prototype 1.4_rc0/1 and sortables

I use the javascript lib from

http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable/

to sort tables. With prototype 1.4pre11 and earlier sorting in Firefox and
IE works, with RC0 and RC1 it does not. Safari worked with 1.4pre6 or 7 but
does not work with pre11.

Somebody also seeing this?

I have been running into trouble with sorttable.js/prototype.js too - 
upgrading to prototype RC4 solved my problems.
