pam_winbind.so -- required_membership argument
I have the samba-3.0.2-6.3E rpm installed on my RHEL3 machine and I would like to use the required_membership parameter to pam_winbind.so.
Should this work with what I currently have installed? What do I need to do in order to make this work?
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Tim Lank

Question about increasing node slots
We have a test 10gR2 RAC cluster using ocfs2 filesystems for the
Clusterware files and the Database files.
We need to increase the node slots to accomodate new RAC nodes. Is it
true that we will need to umount these filesystems for the upgrade (i.e.
Database and Clusterware also)?
We are planning to use the following command format to perform the node
slot increase:
# tunefs.ocfs2 ?N 3

Reboots when 2nd domu started?
Hi,
I found this email
http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-12/msg00119.html
while browsing the xen-users list.
Apparently quite a few users are seeing related problems (reboots when
starting a 2nd or 3rd domU).
I don't really like the proposed workaround to use a 2.6.18 kernel
backported from sid.
I searched through this lists archive and bugs.debian.org but

mount.cifs -> Unisys MCP Mainframe -- Linux touch command "setting times of `testfile.txt': Permission denied"
I've got a share from a Unisys MCP Mainframe mounted with mount.cifs from
RHEL 6.1 (samba-common-3.5.6-86.el6.x86_64).
when I try to touch a file, it creates the file, but reports an error -
"setting times of `testfile.txt': Permission denied"
strace on the touch command shows that it is erroring out on the utimensat()
call

Problems with Prototype 1.4_rc0/1 and sortables
Cheers,
I use the javascript lib from
http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable/
to sort tables. With prototype 1.4pre11 and earlier sorting in Firefox and
IE works, with RC0 and RC1 it does not. Safari worked with 1.4pre6 or 7 but
does not work with pre11.
Somebody also seeing this?
Regards,
Jonathan

[PATCH] libvirt: disallow non-local connections (RHBZ#1347830)
If the connection is not local, paths of disks will refer to the remote
host, which were mistakenly handled as local paths (in the best case
failing to open a non-existing disk, and in the worst case opening a
different disk!).
In case the disks are remote resources like ssh or ceph, nothing
guarantees that the hostname can be reached from the local machine, or
even that it is actually the same on
