Rails - Aug 2005 - Vitalsource - what are the potential applications of this?

If you haven''t seen Vitalsource (http://www.vitalsource.com), take a 
look at it. Very cool stuff, apparently they''re putting a native GUI 
frontend on their Rails app.

What kinds of possibilities does this open up?
