David, Perhaps the NoVARUG <http://www.rubygarden.org/ruby?NorthernVirginia> (Ruby Users Group) can be revived? I see that you posted there once before offering space. Rich Kilmer works in Herndon at InfoEther<http://www.infoether.com>and is extremely active in the Ruby community (he''s also working on some cool stuff <http://richkilmer.blogs.com/ether/2005/08/actionstep_and_.html> he spoke about at OSCON 2005). He might be available to demo his RoR + ActionStep work. At any rate, I''d be interested in attending. I''d trudge the couple of hours up to NoVA for a RUG meeting on occasion as well. This past weekend I built a little AJAXie Rails app that works with Google Maps, plotting homes for sale in our area and linking (in the bubble pop-up) into the MLS and tax information sites as well as displaying the home image, price, and other handy details. I''d be happy to demo that (and maybe eventually it''ll be deployed beyond localhost too!)
