Rails - Jul 2005 - passing arrays or maps in url or postdata

Hi,
Is it possible to pass an array or maps via the url or postdata?

In PHP, I''m accustomed to doing this:

<select multiple name="options[]">
to pass an array, and

<input type="text" name="coords[x]">
<input type="text" name="coords[y]">
<input type="text" name="coords[z]">
to create a map.

This kind of syntax can be combined to create multidimensional 
structures.

Does Ruby allow this? Does it require any special configuration?

Your help is appreciated.

This works as well in Rails as it does in PHP.

information.
