Has anyone received their copy of Agile Web Programming yet? Mine was supposed to ship from Amazon on the 3rd of jul and it still hasn''t shipped!! I''m bummed because I''m a total rails noob and I just had to turn down a job to do a fairly trivial site for a *classic* rails app. They want to track expiration events related to personnel (ie "Mr. XYZ''s EMT certification expires in 30 days"), and send email reminders etc....very basic CRUD stuff with actionmailer. Gary
Gary, The Amazon Jul 3 was always considered bogus (not that you''d know if you''re just getting into Rails). The book has actually just gone to the printers. Here is the author''s blog entry (from today): http://blogs.pragprog.com/cgi-bin/pragdave.cgi/Random/ RailsAtPrinters.rdoc Also, the book has been available in PDF has been available for awhile. --Matt On Jul 13, 2005, at 9:45 PM, Gary Huntress wrote:> Has anyone received their copy of Agile Web Programming yet? We tried to get Amazon to change for months, but nothing ever happened. The situation is actually pretty complex: they take book data from many different feeds, and many feeds overlap. In only takes on to have the wrong information for Amazon to propagate it. Regards Dave
