Rails - Jul 2005 - usps with 'shipping' gem?

The ''shipping'' gem is great. It''s really easy to get
fedex and ups
prices, given the weight and zip code info.

There was a mention of adding usps support, but it doesn''t seem to be
in the current version. Has anyone extended the shipping gem to
include other postal carriers?

I noticed that too. I''m sure it would be trivial for you to extend the 
shipping module though. I''ve implemented USPS in a PHP site I did a
little
while ago, and it wasn''t bad. They use XML like FedEx and UPS. If you
do
write an extension, you should contact the shipping gem author and see if you
can add the changes to the
main codebase.

Hello, I am the author of the shipping gem. If you or anyone else  
comes up with a USPS class, I would be happy to integrate it. I have  
had multiple people express interest in doing so but it has been a  
while and I think they forgot. Look forward to hearing from you,
