Hi all, Due to the weird ''slow ajax in many versions of IE'' problems we''ve talked about on this list I want to only allow firefox users to use an internal rails app.. What is the most elegant way of handling that? A before_filter on the application controller itself?? Thanks in advance!

Redirect them to http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ :)> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: "Adam M." <gnuman1-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> > To: rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org > Date: Sat, 14 May 2005 01:06:39 -0500 > Subject: Re: [Rails] Allowing only firefox > Luke Galea wrote: > > >Hi all, > > > >Due to the weird ''slow ajax in many versions of IE'' problems we''ve talked > >about on this list I want to only allow firefox users to use an internal > >rails app.. > > > >What is the most elegant way of handling that? Haha.. figured I''d have an old-skool IE style "We only support firefox" page and show an official image with link. Oddly enough: The original problem that prompted me to go firefox only (the slow ajax on some versions of IE) seems to only happen when using webrick... I think I''ll force firefox just to be proactive though :) On Saturday 14 May 2005 12:25, Obie Fernandez wrote:> Redirect them to http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ :) > > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > > From: "Adam M." <gnuman1-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org> > > To: rails-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org > > Date: Sat, 14 May 2005 01:06:39 -0500 > > Subject: Re: [Rails] Allowing only firefox > > > > Luke Galea wrote: > > >Hi all, > > > > > >Due to the weird ''slow ajax in many versions of IE'' problems we''ve > > > talked about on this list I want to only allow firefox users to use an > > > internal rails app.. > > > > > >What is the most elegant way of handling that?
