Hi *, I''d like to know if I can define something like a "tree" of layouts to use in my app. Actually I''m trying to write a layout for an admin module I have, but didn''t succeed, overwriting what''s defined in layouts/application.rhtml or other weird behaviours. I''d like to set the DOCTYPE and other things that are common to every controller and every action in layouts/application.rhtml, and define a layout for every module I have, for example everything in controllers/admin/* share the same menu (controllers/admin/users/*, controllers/admin/options/*), inheriting what''s in application.rhtml, then add content in the usual way, writing views/admin/user/add.rtml and so on. Rails, when rendering action "add" in controller "user" in module "admin", should render layouts/application.rhtml, then admin.rhtml (don''t know where it goes) and views/admin/user/add.rhtml. Can I do something like that ? If not, I think it would be _very_ useful. ngw -- checking for life_signs in -lKenny... no Oh my god, make (1) killed Kenny !
