Hi, I''ve always used model :theModelIuseInTheController in my controllers. Now I''ve noticed it''s not necessary to specify model :my_model to use the My_model methods... or to istantiate a new My_model object... so when do I need to use model :my_model? I''ve found infos about it just in the todo how, where I''ve read: "we will "link" our controller to our model, " link for what? What happen if I don''t? My assumption of using model :my_model to access the model''s methods inside the controller is going down and I''m without a clue... Thanks :) Enrico -- "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke
I believe that referencing the models that you will be using is no longer necessary as of 0.9.5. As far as I know, it will include only those that you need on an as-needed basis. I''m not really clear on when you need to use it either, but when running with fastcgi I have to use it. Under regular cgi I don''t.
