I was parusing http://dev.rubyonrails.com/changeset/522 and noticed it references the Oracle 7 bindings. Is this forward-compatible enough? There are bindings out there for oci8 and ruby9i. I ran a *very* simple test of the oci8 bindings against a 10g database and it worked, but it was an extremely simple query. I''m looking forward to Rails on Oracle so that I can do my next prototype in Rails and show how quickly a solution can be created. Thare aren''t many databases around here running on < 9i though. ---------- Scanned for viruses by ClamAV

Besides Oracle 7 is not available on Technet and difficult to get hold of. Guan

The current adapter does not use any driver specifics and can be ported easily.
