R SIG Debian - Apr 2009 - lenny-cran AMD64

thanks for your kind words. It is good to know that someone is actually
using these backports :)

The amd64 builds of R 2.9.0 for lenny are under way and I anticipate
they will appear sometime during this week. Sorry for the delay,

First, I would like to thank all the contributors to this project for 
their efforts. Given that we primarily use Debian and R as our computing 
platform, having access to these backports has been very beneficial.

I have been looking in the last couple of days for  AMD64 lenny backports 
of the R 2.9.0 packages in lenny-cran. Will these appear in due course or 
are there issues backporting to AMD64 (I have noticed the AMD64 backports 
for etch are already in etch-cran)?
