Trying to install diversitree 0.9-6 on R 3.0.2 (Linux, CentOS 5, x86_64) yields the following error: ** testing if installed package can be loaded Error in dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...) : unable to load shared object '/usr/local/lib64/R/library/diversitree/libs/diversitree.so': /usr/local/lib64/R/library/diversitree/libs/diversitree.so: undefined symbol: gsl_odeiv2_step_rk8pd Error: loading failed Execution halted ERROR: loading failed I am using gsl 1.16 so I assume this would be sufficient to compile the diversitree package, but does not seem to be the case. The config output seems to find gsl just fine as can be seen below: checking for gsl-config... /usr/local/bin/gsl-config checking if GSL version >= 1.12... yes configure: creating ./config.status config.status: creating src/Makevars Has anyone else encountered this error?
