[R] Status of installing XML package on widows
Hello Experts, I would like to utilize the XML package which is obviously quite new. There are tons of messages in the web dealing with issues on that. But I did not see any clear up to date solution. On top my R on windows tell me that this is not available fro 3.01 which is quite puzzling for me. So what is the latest status ? Can I run it with R 3.01 ? Here is what I did: #########################################################################################################> version_ platform x86_64-w64-mingw32 arch x86_64 os mingw32 system x86_64, mingw32 status major 3 minor 0.1 year 2013 month 05 day 16 svn rev 62743 language R version.string R version 3.0.1 (2013-05-16) nickname Good Sport> > install.packages('XML', repos='http://cran.r-mirror.de')Warning: unable to access index for repository http://cran.r-mirror.de/bin/windows/contrib/3.0 Warning message: package ?XML? is not available (for R version 3.0.1)>########################################################################################################## Do I have a chance to install it somehow ? What about installing on linux for redhat5 ? Sorry for so many questions. I think this is a very, very useful package and I see many possible applications. This repository is enabled by default on Windows, so install.packages("XML") should be enough there.
