[R] calculating a gradient in optim without calling a separate function
It is much more efficient to calculate the value of the log-likelihood and it's gradient at the same time rather than calculating both by separate functions. Is there a way to use optim so that there is one call to a function that calculates both. -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/calculating-a-gradient-in-optim-without-calling-a-separate-function-tp4648201.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
