R help - Mar 2012 - circles()

I cannot for the life of me figure this out:

What's the parameter to fill in with color circles made with circles()? col
changes the line color, but all I see in the help is a reference to
"additional graphic parameters", and no examples via google.

If this is the function circles() in package tripack, then I don't
think you can do what you want. Just look at the code - it's a very
small function.

But why not use the symbols() function? It has a 'bg' argument.
