I wouldn't add the svn log to the package: it's a waste of space
there. Just give a URL to retrieving the log from R-forge. For example,
https://r-forge.r-project.org/scm/viewvc.php/pkg/tkrgl/?root=rgl&view=log
will show you the complete log for the tkrgl package within the rgl
project, and
https://r-forge.r-project.org/scm/viewvc.php/?root=rgl&view=log
will show you the complete log for the project.
On the other hand, a changelog is a good thing, but should probably be
coarser than the svn log. I would organize it by release version number
of the package, but other people may do something else.
