Hi,
Instead of hist you can use functions histogram() or densityplot() in
lattice package:
require(lattice)
histogram(
~ length | factor(sex), data=dene
)
densityplot(
~ length, data=dene,
groups=factor(sex),
auto.key = list(space = "bottom")
)
