[R] Testing the proportional odds assumption of an ordinal generalized estimating equations (GEE) regression model
Dear list members, I am estimating an ordinal generalized estimating equations (GEE) regression model on repeated measurements data. Is there any way (preferably in R) to test the proportional odds assumption of this model? Thanks in advance. Andreas [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

If you are willing to leave the GEE world and use a mixed effects version of the proportional odds model, then you can test the proportional odds assumption with the clmm function in package ordinal. You simply include those variables for which you want to test the assumption in the nominal formula in clmm. See the manual entry for clmm for more info.
