R help - Mar 2010 - add sd to a plot

Hi,

 

I would like to add sd bar to an existing plot. How can i do that?

 

For example:

 

library("MASS")

 

x <- rnorm(100)

mean <- mean(x)

sd <- sd(x)

plot(mean)

## How can i add the sd bar around the mean point?

bar.err (agricolae)
plotCI (gplots)
xYplot (Hmisc)
error.bars (psych)
dispersion (plotrix)
plotCI (plotrix)

and probably a few more.
