Hi Folks, I just upgraded R to the latest R version 2.9.0 (2009-04-17) (from the Debian Etch repository). It seems to me that it at least starts up much faster than it used to and, though I don't have comparative timing data for long jobs, also that it does its work faster. Is that just an impression, or has something been done to speed things up?
