Hi, I am trying to download the new version of R from Bristol University (the UK mirror). However when I have down loaded the files and am trying to 'run' them to install the software but Windows is telling me that the files are corrupted and to 'obtain a new version of the programme'. I need R for a piece of my MSc course work so would really appreciate any help or ideas. Many thanks, Laura _________________________________________________________________ Imagine a life without walls. See the possibilities. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

If that doesn't work, the problem may be local to you, so you should ask for local help. Duncan Murdoch

You may want to check the md5 checksums in order to see whether the download became corrupted or your Windows needs to be investigated... Laura, Try using a different browser for your download. On MacOS X, Safari quite often does weird stuff to files I want to download, frequently damaging the files. Downloading the same file from the same site using FireFox usually works fine. Hope this helps, Kathi -- DropNet AG - Das Unternehmen fuer Ihren Internet-Auftritt!
