In linux, when I start R, I get some message like this: Error:unexpected '/' in '"/" Does anyone know why? AMY Thanks,
Try starting it as, R --vanilla , do you still get the error? Do you have a file called .Rprofile in your home directory? How are you starting R ? It is not a directory.
