R help - Jul 2008 - read.table question

Dear R list:

I have a data set that I would like to bring it.  The fourth column
shows as numeric, but I want it to be a factor.  Is there a way to do
this from the read.table statement, or should I just wait and use the
factor function please?

Look at the colClasses argument to read.table().
