R help - May 2008 - image() for grid package?

Is there a way to display an image (such as is done with the function image())
in a grid package viewport?

Yes. Use levelplot() from the lattice package.

Yes, here are 3 functions that can do it

grid::grid.rect
RGraphics::grid.imageFun
lattice::panel.levelplot
