R help - Sep 2007 - comparing survival curves(weighted log rank test)

  I know I can use the log rank test for comparing survival curves but my
problem is that the G(rho) by fleming & harrington(1982) which is the one in
R seems to be inadequate are they any other test ie fleming & harrington
(1991) as there are some some differences on the survival curves I need to
compare.
  if some one can suggest a weighted log rank in  R i will be very greatful
