R help - Aug 2007 - combine 2 data frames with missing values

Hi All,
   
  I have 2 data frames as follows:
   
  a    b    c
  1   NA  1
  2   NA  2
  NA  3   3
   
  So "a", "b" are the input values and "c" is the
output which I am interested in.
  NA - Missing values. I used rbind, but its not working.
   
  Let me know if anyone can help me

Hi

for this particular task

rowSums(cbind(a,b), na.rm=T)

gives you c column

What exactly is your problem? To create such a data frame or what? What
did you do with rbind? Please be more explicit if you ask questions,
sometimes its hard to guess what the people want...
