R help - Apr 2007 - macro sous R

hello I'd like know if it's possible to write macro variables under R as
we know do it with SAS

For what I know of both softwares, R and SAS are two very different
languages. You don't have "Macros" in R, because you don't
need them :
you use functions, which are much more powerful.
