Hello Michael,
I checked the source code, and the lower and upper confidence interval endpoints
were simply reversed. The calculations themselves are correct.
I have uploaded a new version of the gmodels package to the CRAN repository, and
it should show up in a couple of days. In the mean time, you can either simply
reverse them manually, or modify the source file est.lmer to swap the two
endpoints.
The new package also fixes the two places where my email address wasn't
properly updated.
