Online short course: Advanced Resampling Methods Phillip Good will offer his online short course "Advanced Resampling Methods" March 18 ? April 8. In the bootstrap area, it will cover BCA (bias corrected and accelerated) confidence intervals, bootstrap-t intervals, the parametric bootstrap, and the tilted bootstrap. The use of bootstrapping for estimating power and sample sizes will be covered, as will model validation. Permutation tests will also be discussed, with coverage of 2-sided alternatives, matched pairs, strata, and ordered RxC tables. Dr. Good will also discuss decision trees. (Note: topic coverage may be adjusted slightly to accommodate the needs of participants.) Examples will be provided in R. Participants will interact with Dr. Good via a private discussion board over approximately 4 weeks; the course will require about 10 hours per week and there are no set hours when you must be online.
