R help - Jun 2004 - question on co-occurence matrix and subject distance matrix

Hi all, I ran an open card-sorting experiment.  Now, I am trying to create a
co-occurrence matrix and a subject distance matrix in Microsoft Excel.  The
problem is I could not understand the mathematical calculations behind these
matrixes.  Can anybody help me?  Thanks.
