Hello! I'm trying to install R-1.9.1a with readline on Suse Linux. If you've got the required rpm's installed (and they install in the usual locations), you should not need the --with-readline flag. Given this is turning out to be an FAQ, wouldn't it make sense to have these rpm's as depends for the R rpm? (I always compile from source, so don't know what the R rpm actually depends on.)
