R help - May 2004 - using --internet2 with DCom interface

Is there a way to set R to use the '--internet2' option when using the
DCom interface. I looked at the C++ code and it doesn't look like you can 
set other than using the command line. Since there is no command line for 
DCom/Excel then it appears that I can't see it.

Is this true ? From checking the code it looks like it would be easy to
add an enviroment variable to set this but I don't want to make my own
special build.
