R help - Oct 2003 - automate save.image

Dear all,

Sometimes, during an R session, my computer hangs and I
loose all the objects created during this session.
Is there a way to automatically type save.image() and
savehistory() every 5 minutes?

You can use the callback manager that Duncan Temple Lang implemented in R.
Search the R-help archive for "auto-save".
