R help - Sep 2003 - Réf. : Loading Distance matrices and PCA

Hi All

I am really new into R, and I would like to know if it is possible to load
a
distance file matrix (lower-triangular) into R and then do a PCA or
Multidimensional Scaling over that matrix.

I would apreciate any help,
