R help - May 2003 - proxy

Dear all,
Where do I define the proxy in R on linux platform (something equivalent to
--internet2 in windows)?

It's documented in ?download.file, and it isn't equivalent to
--internet2
but to the standard internet support under Windows (which is more 
flexible).

Full text search on Windows or grepping the help files on Linux would have 
found this for you.
