    I am a new user of R. I wonder whether I can
calling Fortran 77 subroutine in R? thanks a lot!

Yes.  See the R extensions manual for instructions.  If you're using
Windows, you'll want to install the "Source package installation
files".  I've got a web page for instructions for Windows compilers
